On April 19, the Comprehensive Development Department of the School of Government Graduate Student Union successfully hosted a hiking activity themed "Spring Limited Edition: Let's 'Forest' Breathe Together!" at Tanglang Mountain Suburban Park in Nanshan District, Shenzhen City. The event attracted many students and concluded happily amid laughter and cheers.

On the morning of the event, members of the Comprehensive Development Department and registered students gathered promptly at the Shenyun entrance of the park, full of energy and ready to go. After a headcount, the group took a commemorative photo and then set off on the hike along a flat main path.

The post-rain mountain forest air was fresh, filled with the scents of earth and flowers, with lush greenery and expansive views along the way. While appreciating the natural beauty, the students actively practiced environmental protection, spontaneously picking up trash tongs and bags to clean up litter like paper scraps and plastic bottles left by visitors, giving the hike a deeper meaning through real actions to "beautify" the forest.

During the hike, the group unexpectedly veered off the planned route and arrived at the famous Shenzhen hiking trail Kunpeng Trail (Section 7). This route passes through Butterfly Valley, Wangtian Mule Peak, and Twin Peaks vying in splendor, longer in distance but still leading to the summit of Tanglang Mountain. Facing this change, the students did not back down; driven by curiosity and a challenging spirit, they encouraged each other and pressed on together, experiencing a uniquely fulfilling journey amid sweat and laughter.

After approximately 7 kilometers of hiking and climbing, the group successfully reached the summit of Tanglang Mountain. At 432 meters elevation, it is the highest point in Shenzhen's central urban area. From the top, the full view of Lihu Campus and the city's towering skyscrapers unfolded below, stirring a sense of "commanding all mountains" pride in the students' hearts, their faces beaming with happiness and joy.

During the descent, the students relaxed body and mind, with laughter echoing through the woods. They shared job-hunting experiences and life aspirations while walking, drawing closer to one another and gaining a precious sense of connection.

After the event, students eagerly shared their takeaways. Wei Zongmei reflected: "This path was winding and tiring, much like life—persistence reveals the scenery and reaches the end." Lian Yue said: "Life shouldn't just be head-down rushing; learn to appreciate the views along the way." Lin Xinran believed: "Hiking tests willpower; only by persevering do you realize you're stronger than you thought." Zhou Yibin emphasized the importance of team strength, while Zhou Ruyun sensed that not clinging too tightly to plans allows flexibility for unexpected gains.

This hiking activity not only exercised bodies and brought students closer to nature but also yielded profound insights on growth. Everyone deeply realized that life is like a mountain path—full of twists but ultimately reaching the destination; friends' companionship fuels progress; one holds infinite potential; willpower conquers difficulties; and appreciating scenery en route makes life more beautiful. Sometimes, taking a different path leads to even finer views. This was not just a hike but an exploratory journey into perseverance, friendship, and life's wisdom.

In the future, the School of Government Graduate Student Union will continue to organize diverse and engaging activities, providing more opportunities for self-improvement and interaction to support holistic growth.
