Recently, the National Steering Committee for Postgraduate Education of Public Administration Professional Degrees released the list of selected cases for the 2025 Public Administration Case Collection of the China Professional Degree Case Center. Four outstanding cases submitted by our university’s MPA Education Center were successfully selected. This result not only sets a new record for Shenzhen University in this competition but also fully recognizes the Center’s systematic approach to case-based practical teaching.

As China’s authoritative platform for case resources, the China Professional Degree Case Center has, since its founding in 2012, upheld the philosophy of “demonstration and leadership, co-construction and sharing, and public welfare openness.” It has accumulated valuable experience in case development and has grown into a national comprehensive case resource platform spanning multiple disciplines.
The current case collection seeks to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and the National Education Conference. It serves the strategy of building a strong education powerhouse by unearthing and showcasing the rich practices of reform and opening-up and socialist modernization in the new era, promoting the organic integration of teaching and practice in public administration, and improving case-based teaching quality. The initiative attracted submissions from universities across the country. Following rigorous text screening, expert review, and joint examination, 417 cases were ultimately selected for the Public Administration Case Bank of the China Professional Degree Case Center.

Our MPA Education Center places great emphasis on cultivating graduate students’ innovative practical abilities. Guided by the principle of “promoting teaching and learning through competitions and integrating competitions with teaching,” it has developed a comprehensive case-based teaching and training system. In recent years, the Center has continuously deepened reforms in case teaching, strengthened the integration of theory and practice, and steadily enhanced students’ practical competencies in public administration, thereby providing robust support for nurturing high-caliber public management professionals.
With fruitful outcomes already in sight, greater ambitions now call for a new chapter. Moving forward, the MPA Education Center will continue to uphold the school motto of “Erudition and Sound Governance,” respond to the development needs of the Greater Bay Area, pursue innovation with determination, and strive to write a new chapter of high-quality development in MPA education at Shenzhen University.
